About the role

We are looking for a driven IT specialist in networking to join Unibase!

As an IT specialist in networking, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the operation, maintenance, and development of network infrastructure
• Working with routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, and wireless networks
• Ensuring network performance, availability, and security
• Participating in projects related to network design, migration, and integration
• Collaborating with colleagues in infrastructure, security, and system development

You will be an important part of our team and the client's team, contributing to delivering robust and future-proof network solutions.

Your tasks may include the following (depending on the assignment):

Operation and management:

• Configuring and maintaining network equipment (Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, etc.)
• Managing VLAN, QoS, SNMP, and other network functions
• Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting issues
• Documenting network structure and changes

Security and availability:

• Implementing and maintaining firewalls and security zones
• Managing VPN solutions and remote access
• Conducting security audits and penetration tests
• Ensuring redundancy and failover solutions

Projects and development:

• Participating in the design and implementation of new network solutions
• Migrating networks to new platforms or cloud environments
• Working with hybrid solutions and integration with cloud services

Desirable experiences

It is a plus if you have experience with:

• Certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Network+)
• Network security and segmentation
• SD-WAN and network virtualization
• Network configuration automation (Ansible, Python)
• ITIL v4 or similar frameworks for IT governance

Your background

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of experience working with network infrastructure
• Good understanding of network topology, protocols, and security principles
• Post-secondary education in IT, network technology, or equivalent experience
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
